Feast of Blessed Giles

Each spring, we host a farm celebration around the time of the Feast Day of Blessed Giles of Assisi on April 23. As a manual laborer who gave his harvest to the poor and an early companion of St. Francis, Blessed Giles embodied what we strive to do on the farm.

This event is an opportunity to learn more about the work of Little Portion Farm and our spiritual guide. Each year our friars bless the farm in hopes that the land provides a generous harvest that we can give to those in need. The event also includes farm tours, farm-fresh food, live music from local band Lost n’ Found, lawn games, plant sales and other farm fun!

This year’s event will take place on Saturday, April 20, 12:30pm – 3:30pm at Little Portion Farm (park by the red barn). We will be offering a farm-fresh meal, including grass-fed beef burgers and hot dogs from Mary’s Land Farm, and sides made with fresh produce from Little Portion Farm. Tickets can be purchased by clicking the button below.

While we do have some picnic tables on the farm, we ask that guests please bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy a spot on the farm or in the lawn near our red barn!
